What the grouping carries
01

Develop

Joint projects, business development and order processing across borders — what one company cannot carry alone, the grouping carries together.

02

Invest

Pooled investments and a shared pool of machinery and equipment: better terms, shared utilisation.

03

Secure

Reserve funds and asset protection — substance that members can rely on in any situation.

What is an EEIG?

A distinct European legal form that makes it easier for companies from different EU countries to work together.

The grouping itself does not aim to make a profit — its purpose is to support the economic activity of its members: through shared use of resources, joint projects and the representation of common interests.

For whom

Who is in good hands in the grouping

An EEIG is particularly suited to small and medium-sized enterprises, independent professionals, agriculture and forestry, service providers, cultural organisations, associations and public bodies — wherever working together across borders achieves more than going it alone.

SMEs & trades

Businesses that want to share machinery and equipment, pool orders or gain a foothold in a neighbouring country — without a subsidiary of their own.

Professionals & service providers

Engineering firms, consultants, agencies and healthcare providers that offer projects jointly and share knowledge.

Agriculture & forestry

Businesses with a high demand for machinery and seasonal utilisation — the equipment pool and joint purchasing pay off here immediately.

Culture & associations

Organisations, clubs and associations that carry projects across national borders and represent shared interests.

Public bodies

Municipal and public-law institutions that wish to cooperate with private partners across borders.

Partners from third countries

Companies outside the EEA can take part as associated members — without liability towards third parties, with an advisory vote.

Benefits

What the grouping delivers in practice

Share resources instead of duplicating them

Machinery, equipment, vehicles, know-how and staff are used across the grouping — each member pays only for what it needs.

Cross-border without a subsidiary

The EEIG is the European legal form for cooperation across national borders — without the overhead of your own branch offices.

No minimum capital

The grouping was founded without a capital contribution; fees and contributions follow the joint projects.

Tax-transparent

The EEIG itself is not subject to corporation tax; results are attributed to the members and taxed at their level.

Reserve funds and solidarity

Joint funds for investment, liquidity and emergencies — the stronger support the weaker; this is anchored in the statutes.

One vote per member

Regardless of size and turnover: every member carries the same weight in the assembly.

Lean administration

Unbureaucratic structure: members’ assembly and management, resolutions also passed digitally, annual accounts within six months.

A clear exit

Termination with six months’ notice to the end of the year — those who leave, leave in an orderly way.

Tax and liability questions depend on the individual case. We discuss them openly in the admission interview — and recommend that you consult your tax adviser.

No financial, tax or legal advice

The information on this website describes DigiHap EEIG and its legal form in general terms. It does not constitute financial, tax or legal advice and does not replace such advice. Please consult your tax or legal adviser about how membership would affect your specific situation.
